Encryption of Scan Data

You can assign a password for browsing data to the scan data saved in PDF format.

You can select whether to create a file for all pages or each page of a document (PDF + Package), or to create a file for each page (PDF + Divided).

Tips

If a PDF file is created based on PDF/A in this machine, it cannot be encrypted.

When HDD Encryption Setting is enabled, Divided is not available. For details about HDD Encryption Setting, refer to HDD Encryption Setting.

Press SCAN tab to display the SCAN screen.
Select an address and press Scan Settings.
Press File Type.
Select PDF in File Type and Package or Divided in Page Settings. Then press OK.
Press Encryption.
Enter the password, then press OK.
Check that Encryption is set on the Scan Settings screen.
Execute scan processing.
