Tri-Fold Position Adj.

Adjust the tri-fold positions of Saddle Stitcher SD-506.

Objects of Adjustment: Offset for All Size, A4 short edge feed, 8.5 11 short edge feed

NOTICE

  • When adjusting both Fold 1 and Fold 2, be sure to start with the Fold 1 adjustment. The position of Fold 1 is calculated from the edge of the paper, while that of Fold 2 is calculated from the position of Fold 1. Consequently, the measurement (b) in step 7 is subject to the change in either position of Fold 1 and Fold 2.

NOTICE

  • If a numeric value is specified for Offset for All Size, it is applied to all paper sizes. With a specific paper size selected,the set value becomes the sum of the entered value and the value previously specified for Offset for All Size.

  1. Press Adjustment on the MACHINE screen to display the Adjustment Menu screen.

  2. Press Finisher Adjustment, Saddle Stitcher Adjustment, and Tri-Fold Position Adj. in sequence.

  3. Select the size to be adjusted.

  4. Press Print Mode.

  5. Load the paper with the size to be adjusted, then select that tray.

  6. Press Start on the control panel.

    A sample pattern will be output.

  7. Measure the lengths (a) and (b) of the printed paper.

    Allowance: a ± 1.5 mm, b ± 1.5 mm

  8. If any adjustment is required, press Exit PrintMode to return to the Tri-Fold-Position Adjustment screen.

  9. Select Fold 1, and then use the touch panel keypad to enter the set value.

    Adj. Range: -100~+100 1 step = 0.1 mm

    Fold 1: To widen [-] <-> [+] To narrow

  10. Select Fold 2, and then use the touch panel keypad to enter the set value.

    Adj. Range: -100~+100 1 step = 0.1 mm

    Fold 2: To narrow [-] <-> [+] To widen

    • supplementary explanationPress Set to change the Current Value.

  11. Repeat steps 4 to 10 until the desired result is obtained.

  12. Press Return.

    The screen returns to the Saddle Stitcher Adjustment Menu screen.
