Troubleshooting in Tandem Mode/Printing

Item

Function

Distribution Recovery

The machine finished with printing detects the status of the other machine and distributes the remaining print quantity again to continue that job.

Or, when trouble occurs in either machine during the tandem mode printing, the machine that is trouble free detects the status of the troubled machine and completes the job by taking over the remaining print quantity after finished with its allocation.

When either machine is finished with printing

It detects the status of the other machine and automatically takes over a half of the remaining print quantity with the Distribution Recovery mode activated.

When a paper jam, out of paper, or SC-code (E-code, F-code) trouble occurs on either machine

It automatically takes over the remaining print quantity with the Distribution Recovery mode activated.

For SC-code (E-code, F-code) trouble, take appropriate troubleshooting measures to correct the problem after the tandem printing job is completed.

When memory overflow occurs on This MFP

The tandem printing job will be suspended on both machines.

At this time, the tandem mode is not yet released. Take the same measure to be applied for single machine on which memory overflow occurs.

When memory overflow occurs on the Partner MFP

The Partner MFP will restart the tandem printing job when the memory becomes available after completing some jobs.

In this case, the Distribution Recovery mode functions to continue the tandem printing job on This MFP until the Partner MFP becomes available for the job.

If the memory of the Partner MFP does not become available despite the elapse of time, the tandem mode will be released on the Partner MFP.

The Distribution Recovery mode functions to complete the job on This MFP.

When the power is turned off on either machine

The tandem mode/printing will be released automatically in either case. Restart the procedure from the first step.
